Sand Storm
This piece was inspired by the smell of rain after a desert monsoon. The storms come fast and usually end quickly, leaving a warm, moist and fragrant ending to the desert days in Phoenix, Arizona. A recent storm inspired this small sand colored paper quilt, with bits of blue sprinkled throughout, it highlights the bright colored flowers that often swirl in the accompanying wind.
