The piece "Golden Ring" was inspired by a trip I made to the Desert Botanical Gardens, one of my favorite places to visit in Phoenix, AZ. The sculptural feel of the artwork at the Gardens, and sheer volume of the varieties in the landscape are awe-inspiring. A rink of cacti were the original inspiration for the coloring and pattern in this piece.
